Albendazole and Ivermectin PremixVeterinary drug name Generic Name: Albendazole and Ivermectin Premix Trade Name: Active Ingredient: Albendazole and Ivermectin Pharmacodynamics: Coccidiostat. Abendazole is a wide-spectrum of anthelmintic drugs against nematodes, tapeworm, and fluke. The mechanism is through binding of the parasitic tubulin with abendazole and abort the process of tubulin binding to α-tubulin to form microtubules so as to affecting mitosis and the metabolism of the parasite. Ivermectin is effective to ectoparasites especially to arthropod insects and nematode which mainly used in porcine gastro-intestinal nematode, lung nematodes, and ectoparasites. The mechanism is through inducing γ-GABA from presynaptic neurons and open a chloride tunnel and increase membrane permeability causing hyperpolarization to nerve or muscle cells interfering signal transduction. The organisms will be paralyzed and death. Indications: in treatment for porcine gastro-intestinal nematode, tapeworm, fluke, and ectoparasites. Administration and Dosage: mix with feed, porcine: 1000g/ton Contraindications: Albendazole may cause teratogenesis. Precaution: 1. Sow should be used carefully 45 days before pregnancy. 2. Ivermectin is deadly to shrimp, fish, and marines. The packaging bag should not be thrown to contaminate the water. Withdrawal Time: porcine: 28 days. Storage: protect it from light, store in a tightly sealed container. |
